I just found this last night. In a PUBLIC POST at [info]bwaydaily . WHY DID IT TAKE ME SO LONG TO FIND IT.
HAYYYYYYYYDN. How so cute? Also, DO IT, TAKE THE TONY FROM HIM, YOU DESERVE IT.

And then there's Haydn with a little boy in a top hat. Yeah. Only thing that could make this better? IF HAYDN WAS WEARING THE TOP HAT.

At the Broadway Flea Market with Tovah Feldshuh. Fun fact: I am almost certain she was wearing this sweater when I bumped into her in the lobby at The Norman Conquests. I've commented to Eden that I love this sweater set very much. HERE she poses with Eden and has it draped over her shoulders.

1. I HAVE AN OPERA ICON BECAUSE BETHIE IS AMAZING. Not just any opera icon, mind you, a Renee Fleming/Susan Graham Der Rosenkavalier opera icon of slashy pretty goodness. AND A NEW HEADER STARRING KATHLEEN TURNER.
(Checkit here: [info]thedramagirl)
Bethie, you rock. ♥

2. Theatre festival tomorrow today. Performing as Sarah in the opening scene of Table Manners aka the first play in The Norman Conquests aka LOVE, a monologue of screamy-southern-drug-addict-ness from August: Osage County, and a lip-sync to "Climbing Uphill" from The Last 5 Years. It will be awesome, I hope. Then we're seeing a production of Little Shop of Horrors. This'll be my, like, third version of this show.

3. I am currently listening to a Penny Downie radio serial with , [info]12chenbecause that's what I do at 3 am, yo.

4. My school's football team is badass. Playoffs, here we come!

5. I ENDED UP WITH AN A IN PHYSICS. WHAT EVEN IS THAT.

6. WTF THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES CLOSING. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Not allowed.

7. THIS TOOK ME SO MANY HOURS, OMG. This is my new discoveries/loves picspam. And maybe just some random others. It is possibly sorta kinda plagerizing Sammie's picspam of her top 10 musical theatre actresses in the way it's set up. Sorry girl. xD

KATE. BALDWIN. YA'LL. I'm going to upload her singing "I Like The Likes of You" because it is THE CUTEST THING EVER. She's gorgeous and talented, and so help me I need to see her in Finian's Rainbow. I really do. Also, it's at the St. James, and I was totally there once. /Pointless information.
+9 fan-say collages )

THE END. OH GOD THAT TOOK TOO LONG.

So, a lot has happened? Like my mother calling the mental hospital on me, but whatever. A lot of nice Gretchen things have happened, so that's good. I'm too exhausted to talk about my life right now, because omg awful. But I thought I would go ahead and state that [info]timandnorah and I are totally going to be roommates. It's happening. Have a Christmas list meme with my wishes that I feel awful for asking for.

Step One- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Step Two- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it. You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1. Any Playbills or theatre programs. I don't care if it's a Broadway Playbill or a program from your local community theatre's Shakespeare play. I love those. Anything like that.

2. Foreign or old issues of Vogue, fashion advertisements, fashion photos, your favorite magazine (not just fashion) articles, etc. (good idea, [info]ballion.)

3. Music download links or cds! I love new music, and burning a CD or uploading it is a cheap (or free!) easy way to share it! I'm open to most things. Particular interests right now are anything operatic, or anything that sounds like the Scissor Sisters or the Dresden Dolls, etc.

4. OPERA ICONS, SWEET JESUS. Or Kathleen Turner icons.  Nobody makes these, and it's so sad. Esp. any of the Der Rosenkavalier photos I posted the other day, Maria Callas, or Patricia Racette, because I can already tell I'm going to like her.

5. A Suburban Shootout moodtheme. This would seriously complete my life. Just let me know if you need screencaps, because I can totally take care of that.

6. A card, or a postcard from where you live. I love getting mail, so yeah. And then leave your address so I can send you one!

7. Tracy Letts plays. I don't have Killer Joe, Bug, Man from Nebraska, or Superior Donuts (is there even a play text released for that!?) GOD I LOVE THAT MAN. And I don't say that often.

8. Christopher Guest movies. I only own A Mighty Wind, so yeah. I don't even care if they're copies. Srsly.

9. A new journal layout? Everytime I look at this one, it makes me sad. )':

10. Anything related to anyone I love or like. Or anyone I've mentioned liking, ever. Photos, burned dvds, interviews, etc. ANYTHING. (The short-ish list: Janet McTeer, Judy Davis, Haydn Gwynne, Tallulah Bankhead, Anna Chancellor, Kathleen Turner, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kate Baldwin, Carrie Fisher, Stevie Nicks, Bernadette Peters, Patti LuPone, Kathleen Turner.)

Holy crap, you guys. THIS IS SO EXCITING. Renee Fleming and Susan Graham both starred in the opera "Der Rosenkavalier" at the Met, and it's coming back in January. *GRABBY HANDS* Have some photos and a link to the plot synopsis + SOUND CLIPS!

Renee Fleming as the cougar Marschallin, Susan Graham as Octavian, her seventeen year old lover.

Ahhhhhhhhh. THIS.

So, i'm pretty sure only [info]violettavalery would care about this, and she just said she made a post. BUT I DO NOT CARE. I spazzed too hard over this at school to NOT make a post about it.

Time to go write a paper. Blergh.

Okay. Click HERE to download a rip of Janet singing "Barbara Allen" in Songcatcher.

OH. And our youth pastor just asked me to help him lead worship today.
Meaning, I WILL HAVE TO SING, BY MYSELF, (well, he'll be onstage, but I'll be the one singing) in front of 250+ PEOPLE.

I AM GOING. TO. DIE.

(I really, really do not sing well, and I've only ever sang in front of about 30 people. Eep.)
