I was informed yesterday that I have to go to church camp for a week. When I return, I will be packing for New York, and will probably not have time to check my friends list. I'm going to screen comments, leave a comment if you'd like a postcard from New York, or a playbill/brochure from any of the shows/attractions listed under the cut. In all probability, next time you see me, I will have met JANET MCTEER, Harriet Walter, and Alice Ripley. Sigh. My life will be complete.

In other news, my obsession with Australian things abounds. My dearest mottledpigeon is sending me movie recommendations and such, but I know that there are several more Aussies on my flist. So, ladies? Any suggestions? Not even just movies. Anything really. It's a bizarre obsession, and I realize it. Le sigh. Why am I so strange?

PS: Let's all feel mean for a minute. Remember how angry you were over the Tony!Fail of mixing up Janet McTeer and Harriet Walter? Ohkay, just the few of us. BUT STILL. LOOK.

I took some screencaps of "Serving in Silence", I mean, BEFORE my wifi died. They're awful quality from Netflix Watch Now, but I was taking them to show to ballion, so I figured I might as well post them here, especially because I know how much caramelapples11 loves Glenn. Just in case anyone cared. :D It's probably the only post i'll make showing Glenn Close in a positive light. Take note.

Because yes, that is where the wifi cut off. I was not at all amused, because it was just getting cute.
Anywho, who wants to hear me bitch about the rest of my day? I tried and failed to get into Bruno. Fuck lame movie theatre guys that won't believe my act. I always pretend that I left my ID at home, and it always works. But this guy looked like he'd never seen a chick in his LIFE, and refused to let us in. So, instead we went to McDonald's and I ate until I felt like a heifer. They have these new Angus Swiss burger things that are rather like heaven. But they're quarter-pounders and I must've gained ten pounds just from eating it. Then we came home and my friend Starla (who is going on our next cruise with us) came to swimmm. And then Shelby (of the cigarette escapade of doom) came. And then Jamie. And then we watched Borat, which was fun, and they snuck out of my house and nearly got me killed. Now i'm talking to this sweet guy named Lance while they watch The Hills Have Eyes. I have zero tolerance for horror films. I tried to talk them into The Exorcism of Emily Rose because OMG! LAURA LINNEY. Or Flight Plan because OMG! JODIE FOSTER. But no. Of course not. Anywho, night.

Here lately some of my friends and I have gotten rather addicted to watching the Plinth. It's an art project where every hour, for 100 days, a different UK citizen sits atop a plinth (which is like a platform) to do whatever they want- as long as it's legal- while the world can watch from a live webcast. Today we had, in my opinion, one of the best people yet. Pigeon Girl! So here's some screencaps of the fun stuff she did. Keep in mind this all happened at 3-4 AM UK time.

Opera always calms my headaches/stress. I missed you, opera music. I hardly ever listen to it anymore for some reason.
